Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

The short version: Postvox is not live yet. Right now we only collect the details you give us when you join the waitlist. We use them to contact you about early access. We don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing saurabhyeole@postvox.in.

1. Who we are

Postvox (“Postvox”, “we”, “us”) is an early-stage startup based in India. We are building a product that turns short voice notes into social media content. This website, postvox.in, is a pre-launch page that explains the product and collects waitlist sign-ups.

Postvox is not yet a registered company. Until it is, this website is run by its founder, Saurabh Yeole, in Pune, India. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), Saurabh Yeole is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy and the person you can contact about your data, at saurabhyeole@postvox.in.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the postvox.in website and the waitlist form on it. When the Postvox product launches, we will publish a separate, detailed privacy policy for the product, including how voice notes are handled.

3. What we collect

Information you give us

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Name (required)
  • Email address (required)
  • WhatsApp number (optional, only if you choose to share it)
  • Your preferences: what best describes you (for example creator or small business), the languages you create in and your main platform (all optional)
  • Your consent to be contacted, and the date and time you gave it

If you email us, we will also have your email address and whatever you choose to write to us.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the website works and stays secure.
  • No third-party requests. Fonts and all other files on this website are served from our own hosting, so loading a page does not send your data to a font, analytics or advertising provider.
  • No tracking cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

4. Why we use it

We use your information only to:

  • add you to the Postvox waitlist;
  • contact you about early access, private beta invitations, launch news and your founding-member discount;
  • understand which languages and platforms matter most to people on the waitlist, so we can decide what to build first;
  • reply to you if you write to us; and
  • keep the website and the form secure, for example by filtering spam.

If you give us your WhatsApp number, we will only use it to contact you about early access, for example to invite you to test the WhatsApp version. We will not add you to broadcast lists or send you marketing messages on WhatsApp without asking first.

We process your waitlist information on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing saurabhyeole@postvox.in or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share it with service providers who help us run this website and contact you, and only as much as they need:

  • Netlify, which hosts this website and stores waitlist form submissions; and
  • Zoho Mail, our email provider, which we use to send and receive email.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid order from a court or government authority.

7. Where it is stored and for how long

Our service providers may store data on servers outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we rely on the safeguards and terms offered by those providers and on what the DPDP Act and its rules allow.

We keep waitlist information until Postvox launches and for up to 12 months after launch, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you become a Postvox user, the product's privacy policy will apply from then on. If you stay on the waitlist without signing up, we will delete your details at the end of that period.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your data;
  • ask us to erase your data;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • have your grievances addressed by us; and
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

To use any of these rights, email saurabhyeole@postvox.in with the subject line “Privacy request”, from the email address you used to join the waitlist. We aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using HTTPS on this website, limiting access to waitlist data to the founding team, and using reputable service providers. No method of storing or sending data online is completely secure, but we will tell you and the authorities as required by law if a breach affects your data.

10. Children

The Postvox waitlist is meant for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, please email us and we will delete their details.

11. About voice notes, after launch

The waitlist does not collect any voice recordings. When the product launches, voice notes you send will be processed to create your content: first by a speech-to-text service that turns your voice into a transcript, and then by Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, which writes your posts. Before launch, we will publish a product privacy policy that explains exactly what is stored, for how long, which providers process it, and how you can delete your voice notes and style memory.

12. Changes to this policy and how to contact us

We may update this policy as Postvox grows. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email people on the waitlist before it takes effect.

Questions or requests? Email saurabhyeole@postvox.in. We read every message.
